Coaching
I coach people to recognize the strength they already have
Executives, founders, employees and mentees — usually at the moment they are deciding something they have not decided before.
I do not coach from theory. I coach from having lived the distance between fear and possibility.
For nineteen years I could not reliably speak. I know what it is to have ability inside you that other people cannot yet see, and to doubt whether it will ever come out.
So when someone tells me they cannot find a path forward, or that they are not sure they are the right person for what is in front of them, I am not sympathising from a distance. I recognise it.
Throughout my career, people have trusted me with more than operating challenges. Employees, executives, founders, colleagues and mentees have turned to me when they needed clarity, perspective, or the confidence to move forward.
When confidence has slipped
Someone doubts their ability, or cannot yet see a path forward.
When a decision is waiting
A difficult conversation, a change to navigate, an opportunity to pursue, or a role to step into more fully.
When someone is undervaluing themselves
The strengths are already there. They have simply stopped being visible to the person who has them.
-
See the person clearly
Listen beyond the immediate problem to understand the individual's strengths, motivations, concerns and unrealized capacity.
-
Create confidence through clarity
Separate noise from the real decision, challenge limiting assumptions, and help the person recognize the value already present in their experience and instincts.
-
Connect growth to contribution
Translate personal development into stronger ownership, leadership, collaboration and performance within the team.
I listen closely, ask direct questions, and help people see the assets and strengths they may be undervaluing in themselves. Together, we turn those strengths into choices: how to approach a difficult conversation, assume greater ownership, navigate change, pursue an opportunity, or lead with more conviction.
My objective is not to create dependence on my judgment. It is to help people develop confidence in their own.
The strongest coaching conversations leave someone with a clearer understanding of what they can contribute, a practical next step, and a greater willingness to act.

David Bell is the type of manager who makes you want to work diligently. His constant support, enthusiasm and ability to effectively lead via positive reinforcement made my colleagues and I feel appreciated. Although I was in the fitness industry long before meeting David, I consider him to be my mentor. It has been nearly five years since I reported to David, however, he is still sincerely interested in my professional growth.
